Distributed, embedded, parallel computing and recently IoT with other concepts make it possible to realize all aspects of our daily lives. From smart cars to smart homes, smart cities, smart factories, smart health and smart environments. While the IoT has greatly expanded the possibilities to meet many of our needs, several challenges still need to be addressed in order to develop intelligent, coherent, responsive, safe, flexible and energy-efficient systems. To enable this transformation and to better understand the untapped opportunities, the IoT’s interdisciplinary landscape requires a large number of significant technological advances in hardware and software communities to come together and put their efforts into synergy.

EDiS’2020 focuses on new multi-layer techniques for intelligent IoT systems, identifying new perspectives and highlighting research problems and challenges. In particular, this conference addresses all important aspects of new IoT technologies, from devices connected to Edge/Fog, cloud and applications, manufacturing, hardware, CMOS devices and beyond CMOS, architecture, embedded systems, reconfigurable hardware, network, etc. cloud, artificial intelligence and artificial learning, big data, emerging applications, and man-machine interaction.

EDiS’2020 also discusses the problems associated with achieving the goal of accuracy, confidentiality, reliability and security. The EDiS'2020 event, which lasts two days, consists of a conference with the main speakers, regular papers, posters, panels, and so on.

Scope and topics of interest

EDiS'2020 aims to bring together researchers about distributed systems, embedded systems, optimization, high performance computing and model driven engineering. Junior and senior researchers are invited to submit their original unpublished papers on the following topics, but not limited to :

  • Embedded and Real-time systems (ERtis
  • New Trends in Information and Computing Technology (ICT)
